Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of UroMind ("the Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who can use UroMind
UroMind is intended for physician trainees and practicing physicians preparing for board examinations in urology. By using the Service you confirm that:
- You are at least 18 years old.
- You are a medical trainee, resident physician, fellow, or attending physician engaged in continuing medical education.
- The information you provide during signup is accurate.
2. Account
You are responsible for your account credentials and for any activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at admin.uromind@gmail.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
3. Educational use only — not medical advice
UroMind is an educational tool, not a clinical decision-support system. Every question, explanation, and citation in the Service is provided for board-preparation purposes. Nothing in the Service constitutes medical advice for the diagnosis or treatment of any patient.
You agree not to rely on UroMind for patient-care decisions. You will use your independent clinical judgment, your training, and the source materials cited within each question when making decisions that affect real patients.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to harass, defame, or harm any other person.
- Attempt to access another user's account or data.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise circumvent the technical protections of the Service.
- Use automated tools to scrape or extract content from the Service.
- Share your account credentials with anyone.
- Use the Service in violation of any applicable law.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, at our discretion.
5. Intellectual property
The questions generated by the Service are derivative of source materials owned by their respective publishers. UroMind makes no claim to the underlying clinical content; we provide tooling that organizes, validates, and delivers it. The interface, software, and platform are owned by UroMind.
You retain ownership of your account data. By using the Service you grant us a limited license to display your practice data back to you and to use aggregated, de-identified data to improve the Service.
6. Fees and beta period
UroMind is free during the beta period. We will provide at least 30 days' notice before introducing any paid plan, and your continued use after the notice will constitute acceptance of the new pricing. You may delete your account at any time.
7. SMS terms
If you opt in to SMS:
- You consent to receive automated text messages including daily clinical questions and explanations.
- Message frequency may vary; up to approximately 10 messages per day during active practice.
- Reply STOP to unsubscribe; HELP for help.
- Message and data rates from your carrier may apply.
- Full SMS data handling is described in our Privacy Policy.
Opting in to SMS is not a condition of using the rest of the Service.
8. Termination
You may delete your account from the dashboard at any time. We may terminate or suspend your account if we believe you have violated these terms. Upon termination, your practice data is deleted within 30 days (except SMS audit records as required by law).
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific question, explanation, or citation is correct in every clinical context.
Source materials in urology evolve. We make best efforts to keep the question bank aligned, but we do not guarantee that the Service reflects the most current edition of any source at every point in time.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, UroMind and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability in any matter arising from these terms is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you have paid us in the prior 12 months or (b) $100 USD.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email at least 30 days before they take effect.
